Wedding Photography Q and A:
We’ve contacted you & we are interested in scheduling a meeting now. What do we do?
Please email me again with dates and preferred locations. Note. I live in West Seattle. Some locations can be to far so a video call or phone call can be best. Evenings + Weekends are my go to time to set up our meeting. I’ll follow up with a form for you to fill out which keeps me organized and gives you my undivided attention.
How many hours of wedding photography do I need?
Before contacting me. Try and create a rough draft of your wedding day to help me navigate this with you. In the very first inquiries by sending me a rough draft, venue locations, where I’m suppose to go. I can best serve you in your final decision making. The more information the better I can pin point you in the right direction of a wedding collection.
IN YOUR TIMELINE SET ASIDE
If your wedding takes place at more than one location, please include the travel time in your wedding timeline. Policies for coverage is continuous coverage. Unless otherwise agreed upon.
30-40 minutes while you are getting your hair and make up done. I will start to photograph all the wedding details. You’ll want to have one designated bag that will include your shoes, jewelry, wedding invite, include any other objects that will tell the story of your day in your finished edited wedding gallery.
30 – 40 minutes Just the two of you. This helps add to the amount of images and variety in your gallery. If I only receive 10 minutes with you both I will take “safe shots”. Mean traditional portraits and then anything else that naturally forms with direction.
If you are doing a first look, include this in your timeline ( 15 minutes). If you are not doing a first look, you will want to set time after the ceremony for Bridal Party + Family Photos at the ceremony piece. Please have your officiant announce family to stay in their seats. There is a good chance your family won’t listen and head to the cocktail festivities. Let’s try our best to wrangle them all and we will be done photographing family in about 30 minutes. If you have a big extended family I would even put the time line at 40 – 60 minutes. Again my sweet spot is 15-30 minutes.
Reception: If you are on a strict timeline preferably schedule your cake cutting after your entrance. That way if I can’t get your attention in needing more time and your in the middle of dances or speeches and you have given me the green light to leave during our previous discussions that is what I will do. If you have discussed wanting possibly more time, I’ll either need your vendor planner or someone to be in charge with determining more hours. The extra hours will then be invoiced 48 hours later. If the invoice isn’t paid the wedding gallery isn’t delivered until it’s paid.
Once you book with LRP send your official timeline at least one week before your wedding date. If you ask for me to look over the timeline I can let you know if anything stands out as questionable. If the timeline changes on the day of, I’m very flexible. My plan is to stay prepared and send any advice or suggestions your way before it’s to late if you desire that kinda of feedback.
What is your RETAINER POLICIES?
50% of your wedding collection along with an immediate signed contract is required to secure your wedding date. Once your date is fully saved with a signed contract and retainer, no one else can book your date. If you move or cancel your wedding date the retainer is non-refundable and any further payments delivered are non-refundable. I’ve been known to accept cases where the venue messes with the date of the wedding or a week later the couple decides on a different date. LRP will determine case by case. LRP holds these polices in order to ensure that you will benefit from a committed service date when other couples have inquired.
* Destination weddings 100% retainer must be paid along with the cost of a 48 hour hotel stay + air fare. ( Detroit area is excluded from the 48 hour hotel stay + air fare – a rental car may be applied to the cost)
Total cost of the collection must be paid in full one month before wedding date.
