The White Family | Issaquah, WA

The White Family gathered for a fun, fall family session in West Seattle. We threw leaves, played with their adorable dog, and enjoyed the PNW rain mist halfway through our session. These boys listened to all my instructions and we had a blast! Extra pressure photographing this family because my husband works with Mr. + Mrs. White, building and designing amazing marine solutions at a naval architecture firm in Seattle. Their job is super cool along with my husbands and I love that their company, GLOSTEN is built upon the foundation of family. I’m looking forward in connecting with the entire Glosten family soon at the Christmas Party they host every year. Happy Holidays!

Lil’ Miss RiceCake was turning 1 this past year and we got her in the studio to photograph a full session of fun before we smashed the cake!! Mom created different outfits and set ups. Lifestyle Newborn| West Seattle Photographer

E & M enjoyed several hours in the studio capturing their lifestyle newborn session with their sweet baby boy. Life as we know it will never be the same for these new parents! What a wonderful day we had in the studio.

I offer Studio Lifestyle Newborn Photography sessions. They take about 2-3 hours to photograph. I’m not about the posing-with-the-beanbag kinda of newborn photographer. If we have time I will try but I’m all about the real and now, such as poses with Mom + Dad and showing the physical connection and love they have for baby + siblings too. Though let’s not forget a bowl or basket pose for baby that contributes to the entire gallery feel! I truly love these sessions because it shows the authentic raw baby with the peeling skin and exactly how you saw your baby when you look back at these photos years from now. Including the parts where baby surprises you and sneaks a glance at the world. Don’t get me wrong I smooth skin and color balance as much as I can, but for example, you can see with Mom’s hair a little wispy. The photos tell the story so naturally I couldn’t make this up and edit that out.

Kubota Garden Maternity Session

The beautiful Kubota Garden created an amazing backdrop for these soon to be parents. Our maternity session started a little late, but I loved experimenting with the light and making it work. I set my ISO super high and was able to capture “blue light” after “golden hour”. I’m so excited to share these images and my experimental techniques with light. The personality, emotions, and love that I captured was pure bliss and happiness! I practiced my skills at off camera flash and made a stunning ending to their session. I’m so happy for these two. It was a long journey to get to this milestone and it’s wonderful to see them in this new chapter of life.
